Michelle Williams is a young woman who her career has taken her from Newport, Rhode Island to New York City to become a journalist. Her first job as a journalist is to do an interview with a famous lawyer in New York City named Victoria Reed. Shortly after this interview, Michelle finds out that Victoria has been charged with murder. Michelle’s curiosity about this case and her belief that she needs to find out the truth, leads her to do her own investigation. The life of a young journalist is much more than just work. Michelle has to get used to living in a major city and make new friends, possibly even meeting someone that she can see herself with beyond friendship.
