In 2079, Ella Lane, a former Stardust Biotech security operative, returns to Kuroishi City after a failed experiment turns its residents into wild and violent creatures known as Distortions. Her younger sister Ria, a researcher on the project, had gone missing after sending Ella a distress signal.
With the city under quarantine and Stardust Biotech covering up the outbreak, Ella sets out to find her sister and uncover what really happened.
